Sweeney ohhhhhhh......

hey peeps,

We as in (myself, joyce, sergie, sasha and the rod) went to see Sweeney Todd the other day. If you can get past the gore, its a great movie. But the thing I have to say most, it just reiterates my man love for Johnny Depp.....mmmmmmmm. There is no way to explain it, its not like I love him "that" way.....but?....mmmmm? Its not like the love that Tito feels for Jeff's leg, or the the time Kien questioned himself at SOHO. Its, a different kinda love. Anyways, never mind....to continue...Johnny Depp is like one of the best character actors of our generation...what you say? He is!! If you don't believe that well "it's like your opinion man" So I digress, go see Sweeney Todd its worth the gore and looking at Borat's junk, packaged in tights!! Sorry Matthew McConaughey, naked bongos have to wait Johnny Depp is man loving it right now!!!!

Pooty Poo...how are you?

Did you all see that Putin is Time magazines "Most influential man of the year"? I think hes the most influential because he probably threatened Time with the Russian Gestapo!!!

POOTY POO IS THE MAN WHO IS SO COOLEY COOL!!!

Anyways as a total side note while looking at Time.com I saw this:

Texas Slaps a Tax on Strip Clubs

OK while reading this article it was so surreal. This is a genuinely written article, they are being sincere!!!!! You would think this would be a mock piece or just a joke, but the people and the writer are sincere!! Just one thing everyone, look at what your talking about, N F-IN STRIP CLUB!!!!!! Plain and simple, the most seediest thing you can do other then steal change from a blind man. Are people seriously thinking this is important news? I really don't care, just let me find out when I go to the club. I don't want it bogging down the news while drinking my overpriced Micro brew because of the popularity of ethanol,<----Now that's news!!!!!

Couple of Updates from the Pooptrans...

So there's a couple things that have gone on in the Pooptran house. First off, we went to Chicago with Sue & Eric a couple of weekends ago. That was lots of fun. Pictures are posted in the post below. Lots of siteseeing and drinking. Good times.

Secondly, we got our Christmas Tree up. Instead of going to a farm, we were lazy and decided to get it from a tree lot near our house. It's a Fraser Fir and now all decorated. Check it out:

We also had our annual christmas party. It was a small get together with lots of food, which we still are working on. I hope everyone had a good time. Played some trivial pursuit...the whites vs. the filipinos, haha.

Last, but not least, we finally got a 2nd dog. I'm so excited. He's a retriever/shepherd mix which we got from a local rescue. His name is Neil Diamond. Yes, after the singer. He's 2 and a lot more mellow than Tito. Which we're hoping will mellow tito more. (cross our fingers). Hopefully everyone will get to meet him soon.

PIcs of the new doggie and xmas party are here

Thanksgiving!

So we just had our first Thanksgiving(s) as a married couple!! (Mike hates when I say stuff like that, haha). Every year we tend to split it between families. And of course, we did the same this year. We spent early in the day in Brighton wiht Mikes side. We had some deep fried turkey. It was sooooo yummy. It's becoming my favorite way of cooking turkey. And of course we had the traditional thanksgiving sides and such. All soo good. It was Mike's grandma's bday as well, so a double celebration. Good times.

Then later in the night, we went up to Shelby Twp for yet more turkey at my parents. This time, it was roasted turkey. Good stuff as well. On top of the usual, we had filipino food of course (pansit, egg rolls, etc). Yum. Let's just say we ate way too much!! But all in all, it was a good thanksgiving! Hope everyone else's was just as good.

Here's a peek at mike getting ready for dinner:

Spartans go BOWLING!!!

The one and only game I go to was this Saturday, oh did I pick the right one!!!! It was extremely cold mind you, my toes are still grumpy from the cold! I almost decided to leave after the fourth quarter, thank god for that late TD, to keep me reeled in!!!! OK, I know there not going to a top bowl, but its something. A little of me wants them go to the Motor city bowl(cause we could actually go), but the smart thing is a little bigger bowl. Anyways, I digress, THEY WON IN COMEBACK FASHION!!!! Ok, it might be a little premature, I'm excited for this coach, and the coming years. To top it off, poor lil'ole "BIG BROTHER" lost again!!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!! Oh, such a good day!!!!

Back and Married!!

So we're back from Traverse City...now a married couple. These 2 weeks have gone by way too fast. It's been a great time though. To recap:

The bachelorette party was wonderful. We went to dinner at Traffic Jam in Detroit. Slow service, great food, good times. Afterwards, we headed to Canada for some fun and games. Spending time with the girls was great. Thanks to them all :)

Rehearsal Dinner was the Wed before the wedding. Talk about a long rehearsal. Well, I guess that's what you get when your dealing with 36 people. It went pretty smoothly for the most part. I started out with 1 church planner and ended up with 4. Plus on top of it all, the filipino ladies wanted to put their input into the whole thing, of course.

Friday night....Wedding. I was so antsy in the morning, I couldn't sleep well. On top of it, I was kind of sick. Started my week with a sore throat. By the time Friday came by, I was sort of feeling better, but I was coughing. So I was drinking robitussin like water. Luckily, I did get through the day pretty much cough-free. Spent the morning getting hair/makeup done. Once I did get my dress on, everything was like a blur. PIctures everywhere. All in all, everything went perfect. We did forget the ring bearer pillow, but made a proxy from one of the girls' shawls. Everyone showed up that needed to show up. It as great. I didn't have to worry about a thing. I just hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Considering the after-wedding party, I think they did. haha.

Lastly, we spent our honeymoon up in Traverse City for some rest and relaxation. The first 2 days we were up there, we were exhausted. We got massages and facials (even Michael) haha. Did some of the wine tours and came back with 2 boxes of wine. Did some siteseeing. Will post pictures soon. It was a good time. Now I don't want to go back to work.

Tonight, we have yet another wedding to go to. That should be fun. Then I go back to work tomorrow. Those are pretty much how are 2 weeks went by. Now it's time to get back to normal life. Normal Married Life :)

Last 2 weeks as a single gal!!

So the countdown is on. We are 10 days away from tying the knot. Thanks to me being Type A, I have pretty much every all set. Wedding planning is alot of work. Kudos to those who do it for a living, especially those who have to deal with bridezillas. I just have this Wed/Thurs of work left, then I officially am on vacation. My only one of the year, and it's long overdue.

This Saturday is the Bachelorette party, and my girls are planning dinner/drinks and naked men. What more can a girl ask for!? Lol. I can't wait. Yay.

car stuff

Soooooo This is another moment in irony: Read an article about its better to keep your car as long as possible because its cheaper in the long run then buying a new car every 5 years. So............a regular tire rotation turned into $360 rear rotors and brakes. Thats not all, a new tire because one had a nail, and the uneven wear caused my car to veer left. ( don't have to pay for that because its it was new in Feb) OOOh to top it off, a new battery the day before!!!!! I dropped about 1500 of work on it in Feb, new tires, new shocks, struts, brakes, rotors, rocker arms etc, then this! MMMMmmmmm as of right now, I want to shoot Consumers report and their fucking article, but this is only in rage of the moment ( i like the magazine). I'll make sure that the gloves don't fit at the hearing. Anyways, just venting.........What god did I piss off this week?
In the words of the great eric: Fuckity fuck fuck!!!

Its the final countdown......

So the MI gov is coming rather close to a shut down if they do not come to a budget agreement soon. It has me thinking, why can't we do that ourselves. If we just took that logic when things got tough, things be better. Hell, its like the "I don't understand" and "I give up". Then these, rich bureaucratic bastards all go to their respective corners and pout. I can't believe these people that we voted in acting like little children. They don't care, when there is nice little paycheck of our money always in their debit account. Why do we as citizens put up with this shit. Doesn't any of these people realize that we need to put the bureaucratic bullshit aside and just do what’s best. This left wing, ring wing divisional line crap needs to stop. I really hate the 2 party system, it doesn't get anything done, black-white, wrong-right!!!! I'm pissed!!!!! You know, The friggin UAW-GM deal looks great compared to this crap. At least, someone one stood up in that deal and something got down.

No balls, that’s all I have to say, they all have no balls!!!!

Apple picking!!!

Ok I know its been a week since our last post but the wedding is coming up and wedding stuff tends to happen. So any hoo, last week we went apple picking, the fall fun and tradition since we've been dating. It might be old and passe, but I hope apple picking never ever stops for all families and friends. We went up to Blakes outside of Romeo the home town of KIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD ROCK!!! Baw with the baw!!!! Man hes such the hoodster in this one light town!!!!! Turn out to be a beautiful day to pick apples and raspberries. The main reason we wanted to go was to get some of the variety honey crisp, but to our surprise it is really an early apple and popular as heck. There was still many a variety to be had, so we got them all. Joyce made a wonderful first apple pie of her life, mmmmmmm good! We also got apple cider and cider donuts, why are they so good? Heres a couple of pics:

Homeownership, got to love it!!!

Ok, not a big major improvement problem, but the little things add up. So last night, before bed, I tried turning off the light in the bathroom, but it didn't go off. The button broke on the dimmer switch so I could, basically not dim at all. No biggie right? It was a biggie when I went to go get a new one!!! $29 dollars for a friggin new and exact switch, WTF!!! Its just a light switch!! So whatever, I decided to down grade, even that would of cost me 20 bucks except that I found the same exact one with the wrong price tag for 5 dollars cheaper. I also went in there for light bulbs for the new fan that was installed (by me). Trying to be the conservationist, I bought those compact flourecents. The two pack was 7 bucks, but I needed 3 bulbs, you can do the math. So saving the world is going to cost me little more, so be it. All I have to say is that those things better not burn out until im dead and gone!! Then I realized I need to shore up the back deck a little because its starting to sag. Whomever decided to build this big hunkering monstrosity of a deck, did not set the posts in with cement. So in the meantime, until I have time, I just shored it up with some 2 bys. Those two bys were cut up with my new circular saw blade, 14 bucks. So with just a couple of simple do it yourselves projects, the total for today was almost 50 dollars..........got to love being a home owner!!

ps we went apple picking yesterday, a story and goofy pics to follow.

What ever happened to enjoying the holidays!?

It's always this time of year when all the holidays start coming along. That's why time flies by so fast. And for some reason, we can't seem to enjoy any of it. Or at least retailers don't allow us to. All these retail stores have had Halloween stuff out for the past month. I thought it was still kind of summer. Plus, it's not even October. By the time October comes, all the Thanksgiving stuff will be out. Next thing you know Christmas..then New Years. It's never ending. I just don't understand why they have to put it out so early. Let's just enjoy the current holiday and season that it is supposed to be.

I have a Dream......

That we can live in a world with no hatred. That everyone in this world realizes that their shit DOES stink. If we only realize that we as individual are fallible (sp) , and not perfect. That we don't always need to put our two cents worth of an opinion in and realize the answers are not that simple. We are not perfect people, we don't need to live the perfect life style, waste not want not. Its so funny that our parents told us this quip growing up and now, their living the Hollywood life style, ironic isn't it. With all this said and then done, this planet will be a better place, not for us (cause its too late) but for at least our future children and their children's , children......

1st Bridal Shower!

So I had my first bridal shower in Flint on Saturday. It was nice. Homemade food made by the Puppans...always good. Especially the desserts. You can ask Pam and Kasia..and their plate(s) of food, lol. I can now see why people get married so many times. For all the lovley presents. It's like Christmas!! :) Haha, jk. Wedddings are about the love stuff. It was cute seeing all the old Hungarians. They are all so sweet. Mike's grandma is especially cute. As I was opening my cards, there was a card in there with just money and no name. So I hold up the card asking who it's from. Mike's grandma goes "What!? No Money!?" I was like, "No, there is no name!". Everyone just starts laughing. She's a hoot. One year she got Mike a birthday card that said "Happy Birthday to my great-grand daughter". LOL.

Afterwards, me and the girls went to Birch Run and did some damage there. As if I didn't have enough stuff from the shower, I had to buy more. It was a good time. Can't wait till my bachelorette party. It will definitely be a good time.

X-Men 3

I know i'm a little behind on my movie watching, but I finally got to see X-men 3. All I have to say is that it was truelly disappointing. They really missed the directing of Bryan Singer, superman got the better deal! The filming of it was horrible, it was like a B-movie in some respect. Maybe I was disappointed because I espected more, they brought in TOO many characters. It would of been cool if they exponded on the bigger ones more, like juggernaught, (he was cool) the more main charaters. Anyways, its just one of those movies that have a series and just want to make money. It was boring to say the least, why did they have to kill Xaviar too! But im sure when they make a fourth, he'll somewhat miracusly be alive. The only saving grace is they killed cyclopes, boy that guy was a tool!!! "Do you know who I am?" "I'm the juggernaught, Bitch!" That is true!!!

Cells phone cause brain tumors?

So I was at Macy's today shopping for shoes. I was on my cellphone tracking down Michael who seemed to be lost in the store, as this one lady goes up to me and says "Not so close to me". I'm like, "Excuse me?". Then she goes on this rant about how cell phones cause brain cancer/tumors. And how dare I go close to her with my dangerous cell phone waves. I told her that it wasn't a proven fact that it was true. Then she goes on and on about cell phones and brain tumors. I then, tell her that I'm a nurse. And then she tells me that I should know better. Excuse me!? I should know better. Seriously. I was seriously pissed off by this for some reason. As I was walking away, I could hear her saying that nurses and neurologists are all gonna have brain cancer one day. I turn around and just give her a nasty look. To top it all off, I was just standing in one spot talking on my cell phone, and she comes closer to me, because of where the shoes were. How crazy is that!? There are some crazy people out there.

Shiiiit...Dog!

So it's been one year ago today, since me and my peeps went to Traverse City (actually, it was Beulah) for some R&R. We rented a house by a lake (which I highly recommend), brought our own food and definitely had some drinks. Boy were those some good times. I just thought I would reminsice one of those good times that Mike happen to catch on tape. I think the video speaks for itself.

Finally a roof over our heads!!!!

After so many a conversation on hashing a hard date to do the roof, they're finally working on it!!!!!!!! So while I sit here, my head throbbing with the sounds of hammers ( not from whiskey last night), it has me thinking, re-roofing a house or any household re-model sucks! People rent, buy a condo don't buy a house too much work. Kidding its fun, never a dull moment, case in point on Sunday. We had our gas meter moved from the basement to the outside, it was free so what the hay!! So after they finished last Tuesday there was a smell, thought it was no biggie maybe jointing compound. The smell stuck around for a little bit, still thinking no big deal, until Sunday when Consumers should up. I guess our neighbors called it in and we had a faulty meter, a bad regulator thingee. So the moral of the story, if you smell it make sure you follow up on who dealt it!!!

Gas Problems!

So today we had consumers energy over, moving our gas meter from our basement to the outside. Thanks to Oakland County's Laws, it's free of charget to us. Yay. Speaking of gas...we were sitting around waiting for them to finish, I hear next to me lovely sounds of farts. Thinking they were coming from Mike, I told him that he was disgusting. Then the farts just kept going...like a trumpet. Further investigation revealed that it was Tito, our dog. Luckily it didn't smell, but all noises. It was more like extremely loud bowel sounds. Well to say the least, Mike's got some competition.

NO NOT MY 40'S!!!

I know most of the country is still feeling hard times, but do they still need to tax the little man. If this ever cames to Detroit, it will surely make it a third world nation. It just gets my goat when now my local liquor store will be forced to charge a tax on my colt 45. Isn't the 3 for $5, expensive enough?!!! While sitting here (yes is 930am, to an alcoholic, there is no time) drinking my Ice house forty, it has me thinking, whats next? A tax on the little toy machines? will now my bouncy balls and homies be more? Will they tax my fortune cookies after a nice Chinese meal? Will it ever end? Isn't the government holding us down enough!!!! Argggggggggggggg...................gulp, gulp, gulp,gulp,gulp,gulp...........

Hello Kitty

There's a new craze in Thailand, I guess its pretty fashionable to wear "Hello Kitty", but for different reasons.

Rogue cops forced to wear Hello Kitty armbands

I like how they call them "Rogue" cops!!! Littering, parking in the wrong spot and arriving late to work to me really does not constitute "Rogue", maybe being lazy or being an ass. When I think of "Rogue" its usually embezzlement, under ground drug dealing working with the mob. Seriously if that's "Rogue" to them(and/or the writer of the article) what the hell would be the term for all of the above?

Me and Mike started watching yet another HBO show, Flight of the Conchords. It's hiliarious. It's about these 2 folk singers from New Zealand, trying to make it in New York City. During parts of the show, they go into song. Here's a clip:

Thank you all for coming!!! It means a lot to see you all there and especially participating in it all. Un-offical numbers looks to be the best ever year of BFR. Hope all of you had fun, I did, the bowling names we picked rocked!!!!! If we weren't the best scoring team, we beat everyone in creativity with the names!!!! spider pig, spider pig does whatever a spider pig does! Rock the house peeps!

Wedding Guest List!

So my mom thinks that everyone that our family has ever met has to show up to this wedding. As of last week, we FINALLY finalized the guest list. At that point, I had told them NO MORE PEOPLE. We are already at 255. That's plenty more than what we wanted. So today I get another email to add yet another person. To top it all off, I don't even know who the hell this person is. How great is that. How come my mother doesn't know the definition of 'small and intimate' and she doesn't know when to stop. I am putting my foot down for like the millionith time and saying NO to more people.

getting to close

So mmmmm I was rough housing with Tito, I tend to bite him while doing so. This time he turned just right ( oh so wrong) and I had a little nibble of dog penis. Ok it was not the innards, but the sheath portion. I really can't justify it that way, but that was my only saving grace. Ok, we just stepped into a new level of our relationship that I don't care expend on. Got to go, hes looking at me longingly.

My Turn!

So we've joined the blog community. We've actually both were part of it before separately, back in the day. I got too busy with school and such, I stopped and I think Mike just got lazy with his blog. Now that we're starting a new life together, why not start a blog together!?

Things have been quite busy with all the wedding planning and such. 3 more months and it'll be over. I have to give wedding planners credit, because this is a ton of hard work. So far I've been pretty calm about it, for the most part.

Today at work, I was so pissed at this one doctor, because of him being so lazy. So, this patient had soiled himself and couldn't clean himself up (in front of the doctor). So instead of the doctor cleaning him up, he went out of his way to look for my nursing assistant and myself who were in the middle of a somewhat emergency. Then the lovely doctor proceeded to report us to the charge nurse, while doing nothing about the situation. Stupid doctors, no bedside manner whatsoever.

-Joyce

Our first post

What should it be about? Well Joyce decided to start this thing and I have a wonderful feeling that I'll be doing most of the writing. So it begins again, I'll try and do my...our best to keep up on this thing.

We had a zookeeper appreciation gathering at work today. The bosses brought in many a goodies for us in celebration. If you didn't know, last week was officially National Zookeeper Week. Yes, its true some senator passed a resolution to make it sometime in July. So its not totally official yet but you should appreciate me, which should be done everyday anyways!!!! Next time when you see your local zookeeper ( cause we're like a dime a dozen!) give him a high five!!!!!! Woo Hooooo

Ps I really don't care for another useless appreciation week or holiday, even if its my honor, just appreciate me for who I am!!!!!!

Joyce.......anything?
