Easter!!!

Ok not a lot to be thankful, for i've been sick since thursday. But im thankful for Health, a lovely wife (yes brownie points), two cute dogs that are rough housing as we type this!!! and State making it to the sweet 16!!! GO STATE!!!!! This time of year also reminds me of: what does easter mean to me? well its about bunnies!!!! It don't make sense but they are so cute!!!! heres a couple of pictures of some cute bunnies:

St. Patrick's Day 2008!

So St. Patrick's Day was a fun and long day. Here's a somewhat quick re-cap: 10:00 AM (yes, that is AM) - Breakfast and Main Street in HamTown to allow for us to drink more. This is us pre-drinking: 11:00 AM - Arrived at Old Shillelagh in Detroit. While walking up to the entrance, we happen to see an old man passed out with a bloody nose. Looks as though he started pretty early. We got to the tent and started our drink on. Was able to make it upstairs to hear somewhat Irish music. Drinking then led the entire upstairs to chanting "We are table #1, table #1, table #1, where the f*ck is #2". This went on several times, I have video but can't make out the chanting too well. Pretty funny stuff. Here is what our table looked like at around 1:00pm: Next stop, Big Boy. For more food. Alcohol really does make you hungry. We need the carbs to soak it all in. 4:30PM - Pat O'Brien's to see our favorite bartender, Augie. There were no $3 PBRs this time for Mike, only Labatts and Beamish, haha. At this point, Eric finally joined us for some drinking fun. After only about an hour and half, Eric had caught up to where I was, drinking-wise, haha. 7:00PM - Royal Kubo, celebrating filipino-irish style. Hey, they had 2.50 guinesses and angels on horseback (which i don't recommend to anyone)... It looks good, but doesn't taste anything like it looks (as told by the boys). I was smart enough not to eat it. :) Spent the rest of the night at the kubo eating adobo baboy and pansit. Also karaoking it away.

This is what makes college basketball the best and March Madness all the more fun. These are moments in your life were you remember the exact time, place, minute and second of your life. For me, it was sitting on the coach, in our house and watching it on TV!! Exciting eh? (that's my attempt at a Minnesotan accent) Anyways, it was fun to watch, I really thought they lost it at the end. Hopefully, MSU doesn't meet them in the finals since this guy has a habit of miracle shots!!!!

Wedding Video!!

So after months of waiting, our wedding video is finally done and being shipped as I write. So we should be getting it within the next couple of days. I'm excited. I get to see stuff that I probably missed on the day of. Plus we get to reminisce mike's "umbrella" dance. haha. Can't wait.

Is everyone excited for St. Patty's Day. It's the one day that I become Irish :) Plans for Monday (starting at 11am) include lunch prior to, (we should really start on a full stomach), then off to Old Shillelagh, then to Pat O'Brien's to see Augie for some $3 PBRs. hehe. Should be a good day of drinking. This year I won't have a hockey banquet to attend to.

Short Vacation!!

So I'm off for 6 days for a little mini rest and relax. I get days off like candy at Easter, so they need to be used. So after a long week of work I decided to drink, obviously. Made me a bloody Mary.....or two, I'm a little buzzing as we write this. I like vodka it is my friend. So there was a lack of a stirring straws except for the penis straws Joyce got from her Bachelorette party. Well hell!! when in Rome! Ok, I'm sucking on a penis straw having a bloody Mary. DON'T JUDGE ME!!!!!!! It's funny to, when the liquid goes back down the straw, it collects in the cockles....balls. Anyways, so starts me Vacation, rest....relaxation and St. Pats day on Mon!!!! Yeah for me!

In The Know: How Can We Make The War In Iraq More Eco-Friendly?

So with the logic of several of these reporters/writers, some of the most Eco-friendly wars were the pre-industrial revolution ones. This gives me more respect for the American Revolution, knowing our fore fathers, were keeping it real for the environment. Not only did they set forth our laws and guidelines with the Constitution, they had the fore sight on environmentalism. We need to learn from the past to help with our future.

A nickel for your thought......

Ok this is not the first time, the paralyzed fighters of foreign wars sent me a letter to donate (I think I really butchered the organization's name) Whats different this time, they sent me an actual nickel. A nickel? Ah..........wouldn't it be better if you just saved said nickel? Hey I'm not really donating a dollar, just 95 cents because hell, I'll get the nickel back in the mail!!! The main reason they sent the nickel was to show that it only cost nickels a half hour to help our veterans while they are in the hospital. Well if I did my fuzzy math right, there's a veteran not getting health care for a half hour!!!!!!

On a serious note: We as americans really screw our vets. So salute them in any way you can, I'll be it donations or just a simple salute!!
